MASON CITY – NIACC sophomore Morgan Thesing-Ritter was selected as the ICCAC Division II softball player of the week for the week of March 5-11.
Thesing-Ritter was 16 of 25 in the last six games for the Lady Trojans (7-7). Six of the 16 hits were for extra bases, including three home runs and three doubles.
In a March 11 game against Pratt CC, Thesing-Ritter was 4 for 5, including two home runs, with four runs scored and four RBIs.
Thesing-Ritter is hitting .588 with five doubles, three triples, three home runs and 20 stolen bases.
Thesing-Ritter recently became the 11th member of the NIACC softball 100-hit club. She currently ranks third on the school’s career list with 112 hits.
