MASON CITY – A Mason City man was stopped and arrested for drunk driving and illegal possession of alcohol this weekend.
Mason City police conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle after 2 AM on Saturday morning, December 9 near the 800 block of North Monroe Avenue. After an investigation, officers discovered the driver, 19-year-old Hunter Pietig of Mason City, illegally was in possession of alcohol and drug paraphernalia. Allegedly, Pietig was intoxicated.
As a result, Pietig was arrested for operating while intoxicated, underage possession of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed and soon released, pending a court date.
