DAVENPORT, IOWA – Police arrested a man who they say beat a woman to the point that she had a miscarriage.
On Tuesday, November 15, 2016 Mark Dee Roberts was arrested in connection with two incidents which occurred on Saturday, November 12, 2016.
Police say that Roberts attacked his girlfriend, who was pregnant until Roberts beat her and she incurred injuries which caused the fetus to die. That incident took place in the area of 2200 West Kimberly Road.
Roberts was taken to the Scott County Jail on charges of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person for a second incident which occurred in the 5900 block of Elmore Avenue, as well as charges of non-consensual termination of pregnancy, second-offense domestic abuse, and willful injury causing serious injury for the incident which occurred on West Kimberly Road.
Roberts remains in the Scott County Jail, awaiting arraignment on December 8.
