ROCKFORD – A Rockford man was taken to Mercy Hospital after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Wednesday evening, June 10 at about 7:14 PM, 67-year-old Richard Paulus was traveling east on 215th Street near Dancer Avenue on 2006 Honda motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and entered the east ditch. The motorcycle struck a steel pole (a marked no-passing sign), and Paulus was thrown from the motorcycle.
The report states Paulus was not wearing a helmet. Emergency responders arrived, and Paulus was taken to Mercy Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
You know they like to blame car drivers for not watching out for them and I am sure there is some of that. But, it sure seems like there are a lot more where they were going to fast or driving reckless. Just saying.
