CHARLES CITY – A Rudd woman charged with serious crimes involving a child was found guilty of enticement of a minor by a Floyd county jury.

Lacey Lea Holtz, 31, was arrested by Floyd county deputies on August 8 and charged with enticing a minor under the age of 16, child endangerment – meth exposure, assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, and possession of marijuana. The victim was a 15-year-old boy whom she tried to convince to take drugs.

The crimes allegedly occurred on August 4 and 5.

In addition, further charges of assault and possession of drug paraphernalia were brought against Holtz.

On April 20, Holtz was found guilty of enticement of a minor, a D felony, and possession of marijuana. A charge of child endangerment by meth exposure was dismissed, as was a charge of assault by displaying a weapon. She will be sentenced on June 16.

Holtz is still in court on a charge of assault from August 4, 2014 and possession of drug paraphernalia from August 5.
