PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The NIACC women’s track and field team won four events at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Invitational on Saturday.
The NIACC women picked up wins from sophomore Adrine Monagi in the 200-meter dash in a school-record 26.15 seconds and the 400 in a school record 1:00.13, Hannah Palmeter in the 800 in a school-record 2:17.85 and Rellie Kaputin in the triple jump (11.54 meters).
Kaputin was also second in the high jump (1.65 meters) and Monagi was second in the long jump (5.06 meters).
Kaputin’s distance in the triple jump qualified her for the NJCAA national indoor meet and Palmeter also qualified for nationals in the 800.
For the NIACC men, Trey Simons won the mile in a time of 4:18.90, which qualified him for the national meet. Imad Amenzou was fourth in the mile in 4:20.05, which also qualified him for nationals.
Also for the NIACC men, John Enright was 10th in the 800 in 1:59.64, which earned him a trip to nationals. Rayvon Gray was sixth in the 200 (23.52), Ruben Dorsey was seventh in the triple jump (12.25 meters) and Brad Petersen was ninth in the 400 (52.42).
