MASON CITY – A Mason City man was jailed after a failed attempt at shoplifting.
Police were called to the Kohl’s department store, located at 556 Indianhead Drive, on January 30 at about 7:30 PM after loss prevention there reported a man was trying to steal. Police arrived and after an investigation, arrested 45-year-old David Michael Hurst.
Hurst was taken to jail, booked and released the next day pending a court date.
