Iowa woman caught stealing over $500K from Ford dealership

CRESTON, IOWA – An Iowa woman reached a little too far into the cookie jar and is accused of first degree felony theft from a Ford dealership.

In October 2014, the Creston Police Department received a report of missing money from the local Ford dealership, Creston Automotive. A joint investigation was initiated by the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Creston Police Department. The investigation determined that in excess of $500,000 dollars was missing from Creston Automotive accounts.

On January 26, 2015, Lyndsay Jo Huntsman, 44, of Creston was arrested at the Union County Law Center and charged with On-going Criminal Conduct (Class B Felony) and five counts of Theft in the 1st Degree (Class C Felony). She is free on bond pending court proceedings.
