Lake Mills woman goes bonkers in ER, accused of second assault in same day

MASON CITY – A woman who was accused of assault in Lake Mills was brought to the Mercy Hospital Emergency Room where she allegedly lashed out at staff and caused hundreds of dollars in damages to property.

Police told NIT that Gabriel Everetts, age 25, had been taken to the Mercy Hospital Emergency Room on December 27. She had been booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail earlier that morning on assault charges out of Winnebago county, Lake Mills police.

According to police, Everetts was in the emergency room for unknown reasons and became disorderly.

“She allegedly assaulted staff members trying to assist her and damaged some property in the exam area,” police said.

Damage estimate was approximately $1,500. She was arrested for felony D assault causing serious injury and felony D 2nd degree criminal mischief.

Everetts faces an arraignment on January 14 and is being held in jail on bond.
