NAIROBI, Kenya — Dozens of people were killed when busloads of militants wreaked havoc on a Kenyan coastal town this week.
The United States strongly condemned the Al-Shabaab terrorist attack on the coastal town of Mpeketoni, Kenya that killed dozens of people. “We offer our deepest condolences to those that have lost loved ones and to persons injured in the attacks,” The US State Department said. “There can be no place for horrific acts of violence such as this in any society.”
The attack was revenge, according to Al-Shabaab, which wrote on Twitter “retaliation for Muslim clerics killed in Mombasa.”
