DAYTON – The Iowa Hawkeyes will face the Tennessee Volunteers Wednesday night in a first round game of the NCAA Tournament.
Tipoff is scheduled for approximately 8 p.m. (CT) at Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio. The game will be televised nationally on TruTV. Iowa is considered the “road team” in this contest.
Tennessee has a record of 21-12 on the season, with an SEC Conference record of 11-7. Iowa finished the season 20-12 and 9-9 in the Big Ten Conference.
The Volunteers are led by Jordan McRae at 18.6 points per game, while Iowa is led by Devyn Marble at 17.3 points per game.
The winner of the game goes on to round two of the NCAA Tournament to face UMass, the #6 seed in the Midwest region.
