SOCHI, RUSSIA – The Canadian women’s ice hockey team became Olympic champions at the Games in Sochi, winning the final match against the United States 3-2. Canada was trailing 0-2 during the game, but was able to tie it up before scoring the winning goal in overtime.
Earlier, Switzerland won the bronze medal by defeating Sweden 4-3.
