IOWA CITY – A two car accident claimed the life of a teen Sunday near Iowa City.
According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, a 2000 Ford F150 pickup truck driven by 27-year-old Jeffery T. Bulechek of Iowa City was eastbound on 520th Street in Johnson county. At the same time, a 2000 Saturn SL2 driven by 17-year-old Theresa Ranae Miller of Wellman, Iowa was northbound on Highway 1. The vehicles collided at the intersection of the two roadways; both vehicles rolled and ended up in the northeast ditch, resulting in fatality of a 15-year-old passenger in the Saturn, Brittany Nichole Hochstetler of Grabill, Indiana.
Bulechek, Miller and another passenger in the Saturn, Brooke Sierra Miller, were all injured and taken to University of Iowa Hospitals.
The crash is still under investigation.
