MASON CITY – The NIACC soccer team hosts Indian Hills at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the opening round of the NJCAA Region XI tournament.
The winner of Tuesday’s opening-round match faces No. 1 Iowa Western in the regional semifinals at noon on Saturday at the Cownie Soccer Complex in Des Moines.
Iowa Western received a first-round bye in the regional tournament as Iowa Lakes will not participate in the post-season tournament.
Fourth-seeded NIACC (5-10 overall, 4-8 in the ICCAC) swept the regular-season series with fifth-seeded Indian Hills (4-13, 2-10).
NIACC topped Indian Hills 5-3 on Sept. 28 in Ottumwa and blanked the Warriors 6-0 in Mason City on Oct. 23.
