MASON CITY – Embracing Diversity awards were presented during the September 20th Lunch by Central Park event by the North Iowa Diversity Appreciation Team. The purpose of the awards is to recognize an outstanding commitment in understanding and appreciating diversity in the North Iowa area.
The three award categories are Corporation, Service Organization and Individual.
The 2013 winners are HyVee West , Noon Lions Club, and Dean Genth respectively. Mike Winblade accepted the award for HyVee West. The Noon Lion’s Club received the award for the Service Organization, and Dean Genth received the individual award.
