Cuba Expresses Will to Boost Friendly, Cooperative Relations with North Korea

Pyongyang, July 2 (KCNA) — Raul Castro Ruz, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, president of the Council of State and president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, met and had a talk with the visiting DPRK military delegation at the building of the Council of State on Monday. The delegation is led by Kim Kyok Sik, chief of the General Staff of the Korean People’s Army.

Raul Castro Ruz said that the friendly and cooperative relations between Cuba and the DPRK are based on special fraternal ties between Fidel Castro Ruz and President Kim Il Sung.

Leader Kim Jong Il further developed the friendly relations between the two countries, he noted, wishing the army and people of the DPRK greater success in the revolution and construction under the wise leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
He said he got deep impressions during his visit to the DPRK. He expressed the will to boost the friendly and cooperative relations with the DPRK in the future, too.
