Waterloo Police Looking for Shooting Suspect

WATERLOO – Waterloo police are seeking a shooting suspect after an incident that took place Sunday.

According to police, on Sunday, June 23rd at 3:34 AM officers with the Waterloo Police Department were dispatched to 426 Ricker Street on a report of a male being shot. The male victim, Carlos Fontez Calhoun, 42, was found to have been shot in the shoulder, wrist and head. Calhoun was transported to Covenant Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

During the investigation into this incident Willie Douglas Guyton JR, 41, was identified as a suspect. The Waterloo Police Department has obtained arrest warrants charging Guyton JR with Willful Injury, Possession of Weapons as a Felon, Going Armed with Intent, and Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon.
