Humane Society of North Iowa to host Bark in the Park June 23rd

MASON CITY – The Humane Society of North Iowa will host its annual Bark in the Park fundraiser on Sunday, June 23rd. The event is being held at Lime Creek Nature Center in Mason City and will begin at 11:00 am.

The event includes guest speakers, contests, canine/family photos by Terri Atkinson, concession stand, bake sale, plant sale, “flea-less market”, and obedience tips with Val Lillibridge from Petco. This year’s guest speaker is a representative from FAVA, (Family Alliance for Veterans of America) and their service dog, Honor.

Registration is $25 and includes a limited edition event t-shirt, goodie bag and access to all the event’s activities. Participants are encouraged to bring their friendly, vaccinated dog to this fundraiser. Dog contests will include: Best Howler/Singer, Best Trick, and Frosty Treat Eating Contest.
