LAS VEGAS, June 9 (UPI) — Erin Brockovich-Ellis, who Julia Roberts won an Oscar for playing in a 2000 film, was arrested for allegedly boating while intoxicated on Nevada’s Lake Mead.
The Las Vegas Sun said the 52-year-old legal consultant and environmental advocate was booked into the Clark County Detention Center Friday night after the Lake Mead game warden allegedly spotted her struggling to dock her boat.
She was arrested after failing a field sobriety test and found to be over the legal limit for alcohol, the Sun said.
Brockovich-Ellis’ efforts to help win a lawsuit against Pacific Gas and Electric Co., a power company found to have polluted the drinking water in Hinckley, Calif., with cancer-causing chemicals, were portrayed in the award-winning movie “Erin Brockovich,” starring Roberts.

She couldn’t have docked her boat sober, women drivers…
Much to-do about nothing.
