MASON CITY – Police say they have caught a North Iowa man in connection with a skid loader that went missing.

The Mason City Police Department had been investigating the theft of a Case 430 skid loader from the 100 block of 4th St SW sometime between February 11th to February 21st.

Today, the Mason City Police Department announced the arrest of Mark Richard Petersen, 45, of Plymouth on a charge of 1st degree theft, a class C felony. A class C felony is punishabìe up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

The loader belonged to Red Line Concrete and was recovered near Greenfield, Iowa.

The arrest­ was the result of a tip from a citizen, and a joint investigation With the Adair County Sheriffs Department, Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs Department, and Mason City Police Department.

  1. maybe they should check into the stolen john deer tractor at his farm the stolen box pusher sitting at principal financial, who he helped larry elwood construction with snow, and he “owns supposedly” stolen dump trailer, enclosed trailers skid loader trailer none of his trailer have ever had liscence plates on them ect too much stuff to list they should go through all his properties what a thief not to mention in worth county he was convicted of stealing city water he stole from the manly terminal from another construction company not to mention his wife moved from greenfield iowa where the skid loader was located because of suspicion of breaking into and stealing from farm houses great citizens
