Andre Hollins scored 12 of his 16 points the second half, sparking a rally in which the Golden Gophers (19-9, 7-8 Big Ten) erased an eight-point deficit and notched their first win over a No. 1 team since 1989.
Elliott Eliason came off the bench to pump in seven consecutive points during the second-half surge, also grabbing five rebounds as Minnesota won for only the second time in six contests.
Jordan Hulls went 5-of-7 from 3-point range en route to 17 points and Victor Oladipo added 16 with five rebounds for the Hoosiers (24-4, 12-3), who saw their four-game winning streak snapped.
