NEW YORK – Former University of Iowa All-American Erik Sowinski set the American record today in the 600 meters when he crossed the finish line of the 2013 Millrose Games in 1:15.61. Sowinski bested the previous mark of 1:15.70, which was set less than one month ago by Duane Solomon, who finished second behind Sowinski in today’s race.
