CEDAR RAPIDS – Freshman David Humphries scored a career-high 36 points to lead NIACC to a 93-84 victory over the Coe College junior varsity in men’s basketball action Monday night.
NIACC (11-4 overall, 1-0 in ICCAC) was 14 of 27 from 3-point range in its first game back since the holiday break. The 14 3-point goals was a season high.
The Trojans’ previous best output from 3-point range was 11 in a 90-51 victory over Madison College on Dec. 9.
Humphries’ previous career best was 35 points against Quakerdale Promise Academy in November.
It was the eighth time this season NIACC has scored at least 90 points.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at Iowa Central (9-7 overall, 0-2).
