3 apprehended after chase in Albert Lea

Three Rochester teenagers were arrested early Sunday morning after a short chase in downtown Albert Lea.

According to police, Ibrahim Abdirahman Mohamed, the driver of the vehicle, was arrested for fleeing in a vehicle, fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and test refusal.

Liban Omar Sheikh, 18, and Abdurahman Omar Dahir, 18, were cited for fleeing on foot.

Police stated the chase took place after 2 a.m. Sunday and began after an officer noticed the vehicle drive through a red light at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and College Street. The automobile drove through several red lights and was ultimately stopped in the alley west of Broadway Avenue in between College Street and Water Street.
