MASON CITY – The City of Mason City dropped about $30,000 on the Maria Ohl Civil Service Commission hearings.

“There is no remedy for reimbursement of these expenses,” a City Hall memo from City Administrator Brent Trout says. “The City Council will need to amend the budget by the end of this fiscal year to cover these expenses.”
