According to an update from City staff, the streetscape project on North Federal Avenue will be mostly complete within “a few short weeks.”
They say they final installations will include landscaping, which will begin next week; custom art elements, which includes tiles and lighting in piers, benches and alley fencing; and “field turf” in the plaza just north of Southbridge Mall.
The report says “The City continues to work with the design and engineering consultants and construction contractors to complete the project as quickly and as responsibly as possible.”
Also this week, the front entrance to City Hall should re-open.
