Cynthia Nelson, Dale Nelson, R.T. Harris and the rest of the crew are always working hard when you pull up to the North Iowa Redemption Center. You take your cans and bottles in and in a short time, you’re on your way. One patron said, “I brought a trailer load of cans in. They started counting them before I had them all in the building, and it wasn’t more than ten minutes before I was on my way.”
“If ever you have a problem, Cynthia is willing to listen and do what she can to help,” said another patron.
When you walk in the building, you don’t see bugs, flies, broken glass, dirt or any other unpleasant sight. What you do see is neatly stacked bags of cans, clean tables to count the cans on, posters of upcoming events and willingness of the employees to get the job done.
The North Iowa Redemption Center does ask for a donation of $.01 per can. They don’t demand it or give you any different service if you refuse. Even if you give that one cent, you are likely to walk out with more than what you would have at some other redemption centers from the past.
