From the city of Mason City regarding this week’s work on the Federal Avenue streetscape project:
Week beginning Monday, July 18
General Notes:
The contractors are working to get State Street reopened to traffic as soon as possible.
McKiness
Excavating for piers and light pole bases in Enterprise Alley.
Coring out and preparing the planter areas for landscaping.
As soon as the 2nd Street intersection is completed, it will be opened and work will move to the 3rd Street intersection which will then be closed.
Wicks
Finish paving the intersection at 4th Street and Federal Avenue.
Finish with the concrete portions of the sidewalk between 2nd and 3rd Streets.
Pour pier and light pole bases in Enterprise Alley.
Country Landscape
Crosswalk pavers will be installed in the 2nd Street intersection.
Sidewalk pavers will be installed along Federal Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets.
Blazek
Light poles will be installed at the 2nd Street intersection and mid-block between 1st and 3rd Streets.|
