Parking along 1st Street NW between Washington and Adams avenues will be restricted.
City engineering staff conducted a study on the congestion of the area and determined that restricting parking along the north side of the street would would ease traffic flow and congestion.
The study was done after requests from citizens to the city were received to do something about the area, and some traffic accidents there were reported over recent months.
The restriction of parking will displace eight to nine parking spots.
