URBANDALE – An Iowa man is behind bars after police say he beat a victim to death at a night club.
On January 17, at approximately 11:47 PM, Urbandale Police Officers and Urbandale Fire Department responded to Escape Lounge, located at 8843 Northpark Drive, in response to an assault.
The officers and medics located a male victim inside the location suffering from severe injuries from a physical assault. Police now say the victim in this incident has died. The victim has been identified as Joshua Sadlon of Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Urbandale detectives located the suspect a short time later at his residence. The suspect in this case has been identified as 48-year-old Rodney Henricksen of Johnston, Iowa.
Henricksen was arrested charged with attempted murder, which was upgraded to first-degree murder once the victim died. Henricksen was transported to the Polk County Jail for processing. Urbandale Police Detectives continue to investigate this incident.
