NIACC’s Ball is first-team all-region selection

MASON CITY – NIACC freshman first baseman Bryce Ball was selected to the NJCAA Region XI first-team infield.

It is the seventh straight season that the Trojans have had at least one first-team all-region selection.

NIACC’s Brandon Michie and Connor Enochs were second-team infield selections, Matt Schwarz was a second-team outfield selection and Mitch Neunborn was a second-team designated hitter pick.
NIACC closer Chase Stewart was an honorable mention selection as a pitcher.
Ball hit .419 (85 hits) with 22 doubles, seven home runs, 52 RBIs, 47 walks and scored 49 runs. The .419 batting average is the seventh best in NIACC school history, the 22 doubles is tied for third on the school’s single-season list and the 85 hits is fifth best in school history.

Michie hit .337 with 19 doubles, 10 home runs, 57 RBIs, 44 walks and scored 57 runs. The 19 doubles is tied for eighth on the school’s single-season list.

Enochs hit .274 with 12 doubles, 35 RBIs, 34 walks and scored 48 runs.

Neunborn hit .331 with 13 home runs, 11 doubles, 39 RBIs and scored 43 runs. The 13 home runs is tied for sixth on the school’s single-season list.

Stewart was 3-2 with eight saves in 17 2/3 innings. The eight saves is tied for third on school’s single-season list.
