CEDAR RAPIDS – A man who last month robbed a boys and girls club in Cedar Rapids has been caught.
Law enforcement used urveillance video of a burglary at a Boys and Girls Club that occurred on April 11. Several persons called police or CrimeStoppers and, police say because of that cooperation, a suspect has been identified.
Quatron Jamarcus Cropp, age 19, has an active warrant for the following charges: Burglary-3rd Degree, Theft-1st Degree, and Theft-2nd Degree.
Police say Cropp suspect broke into the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cedar Rapids Polk Unit and stole property, including electronics and the Boys and Girls Club van.
Cropp is currently in the custody of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office on other charges unrelated to this incident. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has been notified and a detainer has been placed for the Boys and Girls Clubs crime charges.
Theft-1st Degree is a Class C felony, while Burglary-3rd Degree and Theft-2nd Degree are both Class D felonies.
