Accused meth dealer caught in Charles City

MASON CITY – The North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force went to Charles City Tuesday and arrested an alleged meth dealer.

On September 2, 2014, at 12:47 PM, the North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 310 6th Avenue in Charles City. Kirk Anthony Bennett, age 42 of Charles City, was arrested at the location after an investigation at the scene. Bennett was charged with felony B possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver and failure to affix a drug tax stamp (Methamphetamine), a class D felony. The investigation is on-going and anyone with information about Bennett should contact the North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force. Bennett is being held in the Floyd County Jail on $100,000 bond.

Assisting in the investigation were the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department, Charles City Police Department, Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Mason City Police Department, North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force Special Operation Group and State of Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.

This drug scene is really bad news for everyone. If NO ONE bought, then the drug dealer wouldn’t have a business. It would all be so simple but you can’t tell anyone anything.

Didn’t work for Nancy Reagan and doesn’t work today. “Just say no” is a simplistic view on the matter from an over privileged perch.
