MANLY – Friday afternoon at about 3:19 PM, it was reported to law enforcement that a vehicle owned by a Cerro Gordo county resident was stolen.
A Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to 15591 317th Street in rural Cerro Gordo county (north of Mason City) to investigate. The property is owned by Trena J. Levad.
According to a report, the deputy discovered that the vehicle was “not stolen” but that “a relative had hid it from (the subject who made the report) for her safety.”
No charges were brought. It was not disclosed what the “safety” reason was for hiding the vehicle.
