DES MOINES – On Monday, the Iowa Supreme Court denied a candidate’s appeal for being placed on the primary ballot for governor.
It was earlier ruled by the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office that Jonathan Narcisse, a Des Moines Democrat, had filed incomplete nomination papers. A judge last week then upheld that ruling.
Sen. Jack Hatch will now be the only Democrat running for governor.
