High school girl who sued parents for financial support returns home

ROSELAND, NJ – An attorney for parents of a high school daughter who sued them for financial support announced the girl has returned home to her family.

Angelo Sarno, attorney for Sean and Elizabeth Canning, held a press conference today and announced that Rachel Canning has returned home and reunited with her parents and siblings. Her return home is not contingent on any financial and/or other considerations, Sarno said.

“It’s over,” Sarno said at the news conference. “It’s ancient history, it’s done. They’ve welcomed her back into the house.”

Elizabeth Canning said that her parents made her leave and that they refused to pay for her private high school tuition. The Cannings said Elizabeth left home because she didn’t want to follow their rules.
