Man charged with luring 2nd teen from home

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas, May 7 (UPI) — A man who allegedly lured a Pennsylvania teen to Ohio for sex has been charged in Texas with taking another young girl to Mexico, investigators say.

Stephan Cox, 26, was arrested last week in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. He was with a 14-year-old girl he allegedly lured from her family in North Richland Hills near Fort Worth.

Investigators say Cox was under home confinement in Columbus, Ohio, when he struck up an internet relationship with Ruby Contreras, 14, in Texas. He was charged in January after police found him with a girl who had left her home in North Strabane, Pa., taking her mother’s SUV.

“During those conversations, Stephan Cox was able to entice Ruby away from the custody of her family,” North Richland Hills Police Officer Kevin Bauman said in a news release. “Stephan Cox had traveled from Ohio by bus and met with Ruby near her school.”

Investigators said Cox and Ruby took the bus to El Paso, Texas, on April 25 and crossed the border on foot.
