JUCO Softball: NIACC’s Kroymann earns ICCAC weekly softball honor

MASON CITY – NIACC sophomore Brynnlin Kroymann was selected as the co-ICCAC Division II softball player of the week for the week of Feb. 12-18.

MASON CITY – NIACC sophomore Brynnlin Kroymann was selected as the co-ICCAC Division II softball player of the week for the week of Feb. 12-18.

Kroymann (pictured at top via NIACC Athletics), who plays second base, shared the weekly award with DMACC freshman shortstop Hilary Wilson.

Kroymann, who is from Delmar, hit .750 (9 for 12) in NIACC’s first four games where the Trojans went 3-1 at the SCC Turf Tournament in Burlington.

Kroymann collected five doubles and drove in six runs in the four games.

In the Trojans’ two games on Sunday, Kroymann was a perfect 6 for 6 and improved her career batting average to .412.

In the 2023 season, the NIACC softball team had players earn ICCAC player/pitcher of the week honors seven times.

NIACC (3-1 overall) returns to action Friday and Saturday with four games at the Ty Cullor Classic in Fort Scott, Kan.
