CHARLES CITY – Charles City police located a wanted sex offender in a parked car and he was taken to jail.
The incident occurred on January 16, 2019 at about 8 PM, when officers with the Charles City police department located a wanted subject sitting in his vehicle near the South Cedar Terrance Apartments. Randolph E. Timm, age 64 of Charles City, was arrested on a valid Marshall county warrant for a sex offender registration violation. He was further charged with open container of alcohol. Police say more charges may be pending.
Timm was taken to the Floyd county jail and later transferred to Marshall county, where he is at this time.
Timm was convicted of indecent exposure in Hardin county, Iowa, back in 2009. His victim was a female teen under the age of 17.
