MASON CITY – A Mason City woman is behind bars after her second drunk driving offense.
Cerro Gordo county deputies responded to a call about suspicious activity Wednesday after midnight on November 15, 2017, near Swaledale at 5846 Lark Avenue. After an investigation, 27-year-old Lindsey Rae Schade of Mason City was arrested on a charge of second-offense operating while intoxicated.
This month, Schade entered a guilty plea to second-offense operating while intoxicated. She was sentenced to 10 days in jail and must pay $2,754.75 on a $50.00 per month payment plan. Her driver’s license was revoked.
Schade was arrested by Mason City police for reckless driving and first-offense operating while under the influence back on October 11, 2016. Schade and her public defender entered a guilty plea on January 3, 2017. As a result she was sentenced to 2 days in jail, $1,827.50 in fines and court fees and her driver’s license was revoked.
