Jacqueline “Jackie” Sheffner, 71, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Community Memorial Hospital in Sumner, surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life with a luncheon will be from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Here’s 2U in Fredericksburg.
Jacqueline Kay, daughter of Alden and Norma (Pierce) Jarchow was born June 30, 1954, at Community Memorial Hospital in Sumner. She received her education in the Fredericksburg School System. Jackie began her working career at Chautauqua Nursing Home in Charles City, prior to a long career as a server/bartender, including Carol’s Café, The Office and Mother B’s. In addition to her working career, she was a devoted mother to her four children, Jeffrey, Heather, Holly and Natalie. Jackie enjoyed socializing with people whether it be at The Office or an evening at Maggie’s. She also enjoyed listening to music, playing cards, lottery tickets and relaxing and watching some T.V.
Jackie is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Carey) Jarchow of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Heather Burns of Fredericksburg, Holly (Jose) Olandez of Tripoli and Natalie (Irving) Macario of Ossian; fifteen grandchildren, Nickolas (Ashlie), Emiley, Tyler, Alajandro, Samuel, Aryanna (Hunter), Maddison, Jose, Xavier, Miguel, Antonio, Damian, Evelynn, Alani, and Ariella; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Janice Johnson of Fredericksburg, Joyce Peyton of Fredericksburg, Brian (Darla) Jarchow of New Hampton, and Lorna (Eugene) Zeien of Marengo; sister-in-law, Deanna Jarchow of Sumner; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bruce Jarchow and Leroy; and brothers-in-law, Steven Johnson and Dave Peyton
