Tina Marie (Lass) Campbell, age 53, of Ames, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at her home.
Tina Lass was born on February 21, 1972, the daughter of Ginger Jones. Tina grew up in Boxholm, Iowa and attended Grand Community School until 1985. Tina graduated from Boone High School with the Class of 1990. She became a Medical Tech and worked at Mary Greeley Medical Center before moving to Texas, where she lived for 15 years. She became a Certified Medical Assistant and worked at the Terrell State Hospital near Dallas. On August 18, 2001, she married Stephen Campbell. She returned to Iowa in 2012. Tina was a caretaker at heart and worked at Genesis Development in Boone, and Home Instead in Ames for several years. Tina loved to give and receive big, warm hugs and showed unwavering kindness to everyone she met.
Tina had a strong trust in God and was not afraid to witness to others. No matter what life handed her, she was always optimistic and sincerely thankful to God for her life. She had a deep compassion for animals and nature, God’s creations.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; siblings, Jeni Rose, Angela Anderson, Jesse Anderson; nephew, Christian Anderson, and uncles, Sam Carroll and Lindie Phipps.
Tina is survived by her loving mother, Ginger Jones of Boone; Uncles, Weslie (Teresa) Phipps of Pilot Mound, Randie Phipps of Pilot Mound; Aunts, Jamie Carroll of Stratford, Julie Phipps of Boone; nephews, Tanner (Allie) Rose of Polk City, Chase (Amber) Rose of Ankeny; as well as many cousins, a great niece, and great nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, 1006 6th Street, Boone, with a visitation starting at noon until the time of service. Interment will be at the Mineral Ridge Cemetery, Ridgeport, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the family.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone, Iowa.
