FLOYD COUNTY – A box truck and a Jeep collided Friday night in Floyd county, and a Northern Iowa woman was ejected and killed while another was hurt.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place on Friday, May 16, 2025 in Floyd county. At about 8:10 PM that evening, at the intersection of Highway 14 and CR-B60, a 2013 Utilimaster Utilivan driven by 38-year-old Britney Huffman of Cedar Falls, Iowa was westbound on CR-B60 when it failed to stop and this intersection. The truck struck a southbound 2019 Jeep Trailhawk, driven by 35-year-old Autumn Taylor of Greene, Iowa.
As a result of the collision, Huffman was ejected from the truck and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Taylor was received minor injuries, the Patrol says.
The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Marble Rock Fire and Rescue and AMR Ambulance.
