DES MOINES – North Iowa Day on the Hill was held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, and is promoted as an annual event where North Iowa leaders and community members visit the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines to advocate for their region’s interests and share updates on key projects.

The event serves as a platform to connect with legislators, share insights on policy priorities, and highlight the positive developments and economic growth happening in North Iowa.

“On Wednesday, the Chamber hosted the annual North Iowa Day on the Hill! More than 30 people joined us in Des Moines with the goal of advocating for our members and showcasing the great work happening in North Iowa,” according to the Mason City Chamber of Commerce. Among those who attended were Mason City Mayor Bill Schickel and City Administrator Aaron Burnett.

“Attendees met with legislators and department directors, and our Leadership North Iowa class enjoyed a tour of the Capitol building.

“Thank you to our incredible community partners for helping to make this day possible!” the Chamber gleefully proclaimed.
