Willard William Jr. was born May 30, 1958 in Mankato, MN the son of Willard William “Wink” Sr. and Irene (Dahn Carlson) Street. He grew up in Otisco with his eleven siblings, attending Waseca High. Soon after, Bill enlisted into the United States Army, serving as a cook for the four years of service. Following his honorable discharge, Bill came home, driving truck, working for the railroad, Dakota Laid Eggs and Brown Printing Co. He married Deb Kopp in 1979, and together they raised five children: Chad, Curtis, Willard III, Cassandra and Amanda. The couple later separated. Bill worked for some time at Bomgaars Creamery in Chanhassen, giving him a very selective taste for dairy products. Most recently he had worked at New Horizon Home Health Care as the Supervisor of Kitchen Service.
Bill’s stubborn nature was rivaled only by his quick wit and big heart. He was the kind of man who, even when he held you to high standards, did it with a warm smile and a box of donuts in hand. The comforting aroma of his morning coffee was as much a part of the day as his quick jokes to put a smile on your face. Bill was a hard worker, but his true pride was his family. He was never happier than when surrounded by his children and grandchildren, and looked forward to his shared custody time with “his dogs”, Jameson and Georgio. Whether sharing a laugh or lending a hand, Bill made sure everyone was taken care of. He traveled light through life, needing little more than the clothes on his back, some good music, and the love of those closest to him.
Surviving are his children, Chad (Tatiana Mota) Kopp, of Prior Lake, MN; Curtis (Kelsey) Street of Hanlontown, Will (Tammy) Street III of Mason City, Cassandra “Cassie” Flo of Oakdale, MN, and Amanda (Oscar Lindquist) Street of Nashville, TN; beloved grandchildren, Autumn, Madison, Aiden, Ivan, Leo, Caleb, Tasha, Cam, Ryleigh, Arielle, Curtis JR, Natalia, Noah, Mercey, Preston, Periscilla, Kingston, FaLlynn, Will IV, Teagan, Kiley and Brinley; siblings, Dennis (Mary) Conrad, Cindy Wanger, Karren (Kevin) Smith, Kathy Jo (Dean) Landkammer, Mary (Donny) Olson, Andy (Sandy) Street and Deb Anthony; in-laws, Sherry Street, Cathy Hufft and Les Herbst; his cherished companions, Jameson and Georgio; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Preceding him in death are his parents; siblings, Steve, Kenny, Barb Herbst, JoAnnDavis and Donna Street.
