Iowa man pairs with juvenile to burglarize a home

BURLINGTON - An Iowa man and his underage cohort find themselves behind bars facing felony burglary charges after cops and witnesses tracked the pair down.

BURLINGTON – An Iowa man and his underage cohort find themselves behind bars facing felony burglary charges after cops and witnesses tracked the pair down.

On May 29, 2024 Burlington police officers responded to a residential burglary in progress in the 500 block of Dunham Street. Upon officer’s arrival, they met with witnesses who stated two male suspects left in a maroon Impala. Officers reviewed video of the incident and identified the two suspects as Marion Wilson (pictured at top) and a juvenile male. Officers located the red Impala at 1202 Dehner Street. Wilson was also located at the residence. A search warrant was executed on the vehicle and residence, where evidence was located.

As a result of the investigation, Wilson was placed under arrest and charged with third-degree burglary and was held at the Des Moines County Jail. The juvenile was also charged with third-degree burglary.

Burglary in the third degree is a class “D” felony in Iowa.
