Dale Temple, 69, of Floyd, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Mercy One North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.
A memorial service for Dale Temple will be held at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Phillips from the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Floyd officiating. Inurnment will be at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 9:30 a.m. until the start of the service at the funeral home on Wednesday morning.
Dale Wayne Temple was born on August 17, 1954, to William and Shirley (Brown) Temple at the Floyd County Hospital in Charles City, Iowa. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1972.
In his earlier years Dale was employed at White Farm. He later retired from Wesam, Inc., in Floyd where he worked as a welder.
Dale enjoyed go-carts and motorcycles in his younger years and won quite a few trophies. When he gave up riding them, he would fix them up for his nephews and nieces to ride. Dale also loved going to car races at Indianapolis and Talladega with family and friends.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Doug and June Temple, and several nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, William and Shirley Temple; sister, Becky Reams; and nephew, Lucas Reams.
