During the initial response, patrol officers were provided information that guided them to a potential suspect within the apartment complex. The suspect was located and detained without incident. After further investigation, 46-year-old Copa Logan McMains (pictured at top) was charged with the following offenses:
• Attempted Murder (Class B Felony)
• Going Armed With Intent (Class D Felony)
Evidence indicates that McMains and the victim know each other, and during a dispute McMains fired a pistol, causing the victim’s injury, and sending a bullet into a neighboring apartment.
