NORTH IOWA – Iowans love their marijuana on 4-20, whether it is smoked, inhaled, eaten, or swallowed, and police are watching for impaired drivers today more than ever.
Local police departments have bluntly let citizens know that it hasn’t escaped their attention that on 4-20 each year, folks like to get high. Â Sometimes they get behind the wheel of a vehicle and decide to drive.
In Waterloo, police warned, Â “on 4/20 we see a high rate of marijuana use and increased DUI activity. For the safety of the entire community, please stay off the roads. Remember- if You Feel Different, You Drive Different. Impaired driving is dangerous and can lead to a DUI arrest-which is no treat at all!”
So get high at home if you must, but spare the rest of us your dangerous driving.
