HUMBOLDT COUNTY – A Northern Iowa man died in an auto crash this week.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, on Monday, September 26, 2022, at about 6:40 AM, an auto crash occurred in Humboldt county. A 2005 Buick LeSabre driven by 27-year-old Christopher Barnes of Humboldt failed to navigate a turn near 1145 Birch Drive. The car went into a ditch, rolled, and Barnes was ejected.
As a result of the crash, Barnes was killed. Two other men from Humboldt were also hurt and taken to a hospital in Emmetsburg.
